The TRS Rebels Racing Squad

The Running Shop is the proud sponsor of the TRS Rebels racing squad. The Rebels were originally formed to contest the annual Endeavour 500 Relay held each year in November. Under the TRS Banner the Rebels have won the 2010-2011 mixed category and placed 2nd overall in 2011.

The Running Shop has extended it’s sponsorship commitment to support the Rebels as an all year round racing squad from 2012. The team is a mix of male and female runners which includes the reknown local runner Damien who is completely blind. Damien’s 5km times are the envy on many sighted runners, he is assisted by guide runners from the team.

The teams recent victories include 2nd Overall (Caine Warburton) for the Kurrawa to Deranbah 50km. 2nd and 3rd females (Sarah Joyce - Tymeka Warburton) 50km. 3rd Male 30km (Satoshi Ashida) and 1st Team overall 25km relay (Joshua-Kaleb Faulkner & James Webster).
