Newton Motion 7 Mens

$229.00 $99.00

In keeping with Newton’s goal of getting back to basics, the Newton Motion 7 is designed to provide the stability that fans of the early models knew and loved. Looking closely, the Motion 7 features the same design as the Gravity 7 with the addition of a medial post for improved stability. That’s right, the post is back!

Midsole

For the midsole, designers included a base layer of EVA foam, covered by a full-length layer of Newtonium foam. These two technologies working together should provide a springy ride with enough impact protection for uptempo runs or daily mileage. The major update to the midsole is the reintroduction of the medial post. Designers decided to remove the extended medial bridge used in the recent years in favor of a more traditional medial posting, which should improve the stability of the shoe for overpronators while delivering a smooth ride.

Outsole

Although it has a slightly different appearance, the outsole of the Motion 7 includes the same core design concepts as the Motion 6. Five forefoot lugs and targeted rubber placements at the heel are designed to improve the shoe’s pop at toe-off as well as the responsiveness and durability of the shoe as a whole.

Upper

The upper design of the Motion 7 is practically identical to the Motion 6, the only update being a dramatic change in the colors used. As such, the four-way stretch mesh metatarsal panel should continue to accommodate feet of varying widths, while the remaining engineered mesh upper paneling is designed to provide both a comfortable hold and ample ventilation.

Preliminary Tech Specs

Heel-toe drop*: 26 mm heel, 23 mm forefoot, 3 mm heel-toe drop
